He sumoned star power to destroy what was coming out of the breach, but was unable to completely seal it. Patheon ordered him to seal the breach again, and the magical bonds worked this time, compelling Aurelion Sol to obey. However, he did not immediately obey, managing to unease the Aspect and demonstrating that his magical bonds were fading. When he arrived at a mountain that Pantheon was at the base of, the Aspect ordered him to seal a breach into the Void that had formed in the mountain. He vowed that he would break free, return to Runeterra, and destroy the planet as revenge for imprisoning him. Resigned, Aurelion Sol was helpless and could not disobey the Aspects' bidding. But the Aspects put him to work, ferrying him between various planets to carry out tasks for them.
Stars across the universe started to fade because Aurelion Sol was unable to prevent them from doing so, and he tried harder to free himself from the crown. The Aspects then put the people of Runeterra to work building a Sun Disc, which channeled Aurelion Sol's power to turn mortals into Ascended god-warriors, most likely in preparation for an unknown battle some time in the future. Before he could retaliate, Aurelion Sol was forced away from Runeterra. The crown took away his magic and put him under the control of the other Aspects. However, the crown was etched with powerful magic, and it latched onto him with a force so powerful that Aurelion Sol was unable to remove it. The other Aspects commanded the people to bring him a gift in return, and so they put a golden crown upon Aurelion Sol's head, which he accepted. The people named him Sol after the sun that he had given them. Aurelion Sol, flattered at the opportunity for the people to see his glory, came down onto the world at Mount Targon, and took the form of a giant cosmic dragon. The people and magic of the planet cried out for something greater to guide them. The other Aspects, who were visibly invested in the world of Runeterra, urged him to observe the world. He did not know who had created it, and was intrigued by it. While orbiting one of the first stars he created, Aurelion Sol discovered the world of Runeterra.
